Also, can you really get arrested in India for not providing your name/id? US has the right to remain silent, do indian courts believe in that? Are witness statements taken under duress acceptable to the Indian trial courts?

If you can’t prove a crime, no American judge with an ounce of self-respect will give a minute of his time to an extradition request.
India does not have jurisdiction over the citizens of other countries.

If both you and the girl’s family are Canadian citizens then there’s nothing for the Indian courts to do anything.
UDid you get married in India or US? In US, you could have added a cheating clause to the prenup and could have gotten out scott free.Laws in India are plain fucking dumb when it comes to infidelity from either spouse.
Whatever you decide to do, stay away from India or your wife will bribe police and judge to fuck you up.
