February 12, 2025 at 7:21 amThis is all great news for you. I mean everything you Mentioned in going in your favor. What you may be perceiving as a delay by the court is just standard procedure.
You’ve spent enough time with cops and courts and lawyers now to understand that the court system is more of a bureaucratic mess than a mechanism for providing justice.Once the judge arrives back you will get an order in your favor, if this is not a planned leave for the judge and it extends beyond some days then you will get a new judge who will carry on the case. (As in it doesn’t start from scratch, your progress in the case remains intact). Ask your lawyer to plead for costs to the other party.
Also As the judge in your cases has written clearly about the wife’s motivation – it makes it far easier for you to fight it back against any other fake cases she may throw at you.

February 11, 2025 at 10:35 amNope. That is illegal. You will have to get a mutual consent divorce first and only then can you marry. It’s not even about marriage registration, if you get married with this person she won’t be your legal nominee and neither will your children have any inheritance rights.

February 11, 2025 at 8:35 amHello op, I’m sorry for your loss.I deal with hospitals for lab equipment and consumables, and my wife’s a lawyer.
Chances are your parents were informed but in terms they couldn’t fully comprehend. And the mental state at the time is not the best.Medical negligence is difficult to prove in india partly due to the documentation the hospital will make your sign which essentially covers all their bases for communicating whatever that has to be shared. Don’t know about US, but in canada the hospital you’re a patient at is effectively the medical authority and the medial practitioner is partially liable.
In India the medical practitioner is essentially a freelancer and completely responsible for the process and the hospital is indemnified from most liability.
In practice what that means is that you’re saying the doctor essentially, and you need to have proof of negligence by the hospital to even rope in the hospital. And I know if only one medical negligence case personally and that has been ongoing for the last 8 years. And someone can appeal at a higher court and make the case last even longer.

February 11, 2025 at 7:28 amLook man, I’m not trying to be rude. But you should be willing to fight for your sister and her friends. If you’re too scared then that’s clearly why bullies like him win.
I understand you being a minor dont want to get involved in this shitshow. But someone has to get their hand dirty to fight this filth in our society. If you can do the ground work of gather the proof, I’m willing to put the work to get the cops to register an official complaint and also get a complaint registered at National commission for women.
I am not a practising lawyer buty wife is. And I have a law firm on retainer for my business. This is not as difficult as you’re perceiving it to be.
Unless it’s money dispute, 99% cops are super supportive and do truly help out.UUser_666da7c9

February 11, 2025 at 7:22 amBrother you are underestimating what even a constable can do. Cops have enough power and in my experience cops are very supportive. If you are okay with it, I’d like to help.
I can make the physical file and courier it to the cops and file a complaint and also reach out to national commission for women and some Ngo in your state.
As per prevailing laws the principal will go to jail too for not bringing this up earlier.
This will come under pocso. The teacher is fucked for life.I am in delhi and come from enough privilege to fight off whatever bully this guy is.

February 11, 2025 at 7:17 amNot really. What op can do is compile all the screenshots and make a physical file and courier that to police station, commision for women, some ngo and the school principal.
That ought to grab the police and school attention.

February 11, 2025 at 7:10 amYou can share physical copies in a file with a police station nearest to the school and give the same to the school principal and hope for the best.Without actually going to the cops or commision for women etc – things will likely not move forward.

February 11, 2025 at 6:02 amYou can do an anonymous complaint to police but those rarely work.Since police also needs evidence to be able to prosecute a crime and take it to court. For better or worse that job of initial factory finding is yours.
In this case you can just ask your sister and her friend to ask around in the friend circle and gather evidence in terms of screen shots or testimony from people. You can compile that and file a complaint against the police station and due to current good Samaritan laws you may be able to safeguard your identity.

February 5, 2025 at 1:29 pmIn short yes.
You will have to apply again if you have already had your appointment. If you haven’t had your appointment yet and the application is only submitted then. You may be able to request the officer to keep the name as only your first name or as it is in all your other documents.
They may ask you to make an affidavit and submit it the same day but this totally depends on the passport officer and prevailing department norms.February 5, 2025 at 1:13 pm in reply to: I only have first name in all of my documents. Will this be a problem for my passport? #59696UUser_666da7c9

February 5, 2025 at 1:13 pmYour application will likely get rejected because of mismatch in surname. This can not be fixed with either a new application or the passport officer asking for an affidavit on the day of your appointment.
