March 14, 2025 at 8:08 amIt’s surety to cover bank’s ass if at all someone else shows up to claim the contents or bank accounts. Normal banking process.Put yourself in the bank’s shoe and think would you want an independent valuation done before handing over contents to someone else? Otherwise what’s protecting them from you filing claims that they stole your stuff. 2000 is fair i think for a valuation professional to opine on the value of jewelry.

March 8, 2025 at 4:55 pmThey have just started the process. Mutual consent means they get to keep their stuff and we keep ours. The only point of contention is that we want to make sure my cousin is able to meet his daughter regularly. My cousin has no assets to his own name so there isnt much to hand out anyways. Everything is owned by parents. Including the business which pays him some monthly salary. It’s a mess tbh. And they are rank idiots. There are several LIC policies for her, recurring deposits and what not. We had an agent communicate the same to her and idiots are least bothered in maintaining policies/deposits which can only be cashed by her. This whole process is a punishment.

March 8, 2025 at 2:32 pmAll i can do is offer my best wishes. It’s a horrendous situation. You will need a legal representation who isnt out there to fleece youMy cousin’s wife walked away as well just because of her idiotic tantrums. And almost after a year reached out through a lawyer for mutual consent separation. The first thing their lawyer discussed with our lawyer was to figure out strategies to drag the case. Fortunately out lawyer is a friend and he told them to go eff themselves.
I would think you would need to respond to police that all allegations are categorically false, she left on her own and tell them your side of the story. File for anticipatory bail and then to quash their complaint.
Wish this was a country with rule of law to give you better advise.

March 2, 2025 at 4:12 amAnd video calls do shit really. All its proving you are speaking to a live person and everything else in her sob story would be false. This whole convert to Christianity thing is nonsense. Shes adult female. If shes genuine and OP genuinely wants to help, can file her immigrant visas and fly her out. He/She doesnt need anyone’s permission. And all that conversion can happen while she is in Germany.

March 2, 2025 at 4:08 amDude. People are telling you the realities in India and you are yet refusing to believe. We are experts in creating sob stories. Specially with those living outside knowing the benefits that flow in the form of gifts, financial assistance and what not.Not saying in your case it’s not genuine but just cross the tees and dot the i’s. You will regret it before you know it.
With that said. What’s her mother doing outside india.

February 26, 2025 at 7:12 amGather evidence first please. Even without evidence, it seems she has no respect for your dad and that itself would be enough for him to walk away from marriage. As others suggested. Wait till you turn 18. Take your sister in confidence and act when you can nail her with evidence. -
