All future companies will conduct background checks and at best if they have a need to verify they will call university registrar office to verify you were a registered student there. No one looks at the damn degree certificate. I dont think I have shown original one to any company ever.AAt this point, your votes dont matter at all. You are well within your rights to get a copy from the registrar office of your house registry plus whatever bank documents you have, the bank can replace them as well.I would just sit back and work on these channels to get hold of replacement documents. File a FIR for lost documents so you have it on record that these docs were actually stolen if at all he ever produces them for whatever reasons.
