May 6, 2025 at 4:52 pmI never meant to say so. All I’m saying is that I have no clue under what circumstances you had to pay those amounts and whether they were legit or no, so I shouldn’t comment on it.DDesiknight9081

May 6, 2025 at 2:47 pmHi. I’m a Delhi based lawyer. You must stop payment immediately. Even if he files a cheque bounce case, if it’s proved that the payment was stopped owing to valid reasons for having a bonafides dispute with the complainant and there were sufficient funds in your account, you won’t be penalised. Why don’t you communicate this to him via email and ask him not to deposit the cheque without clearing his dues.DDesiknight9081

May 6, 2025 at 2:31 pmHonestly, I wouldn’t want to validate your suspicion when I am not aware of what really transpired. But you’re surely at free will to ask for acknowledgment/receipts so that you don’t feel cheated.DDesiknight9081

May 6, 2025 at 1:41 pmI’m a lawyer here. No one files a suit for recovery of such a small amount as the out of pocket expenses until the suit is pending are recurring and inevitable.May 6, 2025 at 1:19 pm in reply to: My DRT case is pending for years and our advocate is never present — what can we do? #1375DDesiknight9081

May 6, 2025 at 2:49 amHi. I’m a lawyer here. Yes, you’re eligible. Say the delivery date is 30th June 2025 and you started working with your employer on 30th June 2024, you need to have worked for atleast 80 days within that period, to be eligible for maternity leave. It’ll include your probation period.DDesiknight9081

May 5, 2025 at 4:59 pmHi. I’m a Delhi based lawyer. You may cut down on your working hours and consequently your income with the best of intentions, but be sure that it’ll be viewed by the court with utmost scrutiny. The court will analyse the reasons for decrease in income and why the same was opted for, and it’s usually approved only when it’s a result of circumstances beyond one’s control such as health issues etc. If it looks like a deliberate attempt to avoid alimony, it won’t reduce the alimony amount. It’s totally upto the Court’s discretion.DDesiknight9081
