The court will analyse the reasons for decrease in income and why the same was opted for, and it’s usually approved only when it’s a result of circumstances beyond one’s control such as health issues etc. If it looks like a deliberate attempt to avoid alimony, it won’t reduce the alimony amount. It’s totally upto the Court’s discretion.
