Hi. I’m a Delhi based lawyer, with an extensive experience in matrimonial matters. Why would you earn 1/4th of your salary to give a lesser amount of alimony? The maintenance amount will make you less poorer than shifting to a lesser income will. Plus this issue will be raised and dissected in court by all means, and will reflect badly on you in the end. You’ll still have more money if you stick to your present salary and give her maintenance than what you’ll have if you shift to a lower package. Please don’t fall for naive advice as the court isn’t blind to tactics and more often than note, it backfires. And your wife can always file an application for increase in maintenance when you financials grow.

Hi. I am a Delhi based lawyer. You must first approach the vet claiming compensation for deficiency in service from his end. If it doesn’t get resolved there, file a consumer complaint before the District Commission. However, you need to have proper evidence that medical negligence has occurred at the hands of the vet and how you have arrived at that conclusion. It won’t be as much running around if you engage a lawyer, however, if you choose to appear yourself, then ofcourse it takes more of a toll. Better to engage a lawyer for a matter of this nature.

You don’t need to draft documents. Not sure what your dispute is but communication with the other party, invoices, reports etc (as relevant) evincing the facts and allegations would have to be filed.

All documents in your possession, supporting the allegations levelled by you against the opposite party.

Hi. I’m a Delhi based lawyer. Hope none of it was a cash transaction. Also, what was the duration for which the loan was given? You can send them a legal notice seeking recovery of your money, to begin with.

Who told you this is half of their work hours? They work in their office until 7-8pm or more, after court hours, and wake up at like 3-4am to read files. And have a lot more to handle than what meets the eye. Not sure how they handle it all.

Hi. I’m a Delhi based lawyer. I really appreciate you trying to help her out to this extent. While her legal remedies are multiple, please note that none of it will work if she doesn’t agree to help herself. Is she agreeable to take a legal action against her husband?

Hi. I am a Delhi based lawyer. I really empathise with your situation, but from what it seems, separation only seems the sensible way out. Such people are beyond repair so waiting for him to change his mind will only extend the duration of the marriage but will also amplify the suffering. You can connect with his family once for your own satisfaction and then take a call. If he doesn’t agree for a mutual divorce, then your sister can contemplate filing a divorce, wherein she can also seek maintenance under Sec 24. About the car, try and sell it, to be able to close the loan. Not sure if you’re ready to take aggressive steps here, but there are enough grounds for filing a DV and cruelty complaint against the husband.

Medical literature on the issue might also come to your rescue, apart from the disclaimer.

Hi. I’m a Delhi based lawyer. A mutual or contested divorce can be filed after a year of marriage, also including one year of separation, barring grave circumstances. Timeline post meeting the above criteria could be between 2 to 6 months, depending on whether the court allows waiver of the 6 month period before filing of second motion.

Hi. I’m a Delhi based lawyer. If her start up has 10 or more employees, then she’s entitled to her maternity leave as well as all related benefits, with no exceptions. Any adverse consequence related to her maternity leave will fall on the company and not on your wife, so please proceed as per applicability and don’t give up on your rights.
