Servicing and maintenance if typically done by tenant. It must be mentioned in the agreement as well. If the AC broke down within few months of moving in may be check with owner if he will share the cost of repairs. Had it been a major repair such as compressor failing then owner should replace it.

Sorry to hear about your brother. Unless your family co-signed the loan or become a guarantor there is no way the bank can come after them. The bank can try to recover loan from the assets of your brother only.

If there was an insurance on the loan then get in touch with the insurance company for the policy details and file a claim immediately.

Filing a writ petition in high court can set you back by few lacs. Hope the deducted amount is significant.

Technically there is no rule how many people can stay in a 2BHK. If there is a club house facility, they can restrict the number of passes that can be issued. In our society, 2BHK flat gets 4 passes and 3BHK gets 6 passes for club house.

Ask for the bylaws under which additional maintenance is being charged from you. A legal notice will get the chairman to fall in line.

Find an advocate who specialises in consumer court matters! The first step would be to send a legal notice to the doctor.

If the policy is in free lookup period (15 days from date of issue), you can cancel it and get your entire money back.

If this is the second year renewal then cancel the payment. Make sure the balance in your account is way less than the premium amount just to be double safe.

You can let the policy lapse and write off the 3L premium already paid (if this is the second year renewal).

You can take the doctor to consumer forum for compensation.

So long as the original lease agreement is not registered, itโ€™s not a valid legal document. So technically only the 11 month agreement counts.

Donโ€™t lend the money you canโ€™t loose. If you have a loan agreement and all transactions through banking channel then proceed legally by sending him a legal notice through a lawyer. If he fails to pay you can file a civil suit which will take 15-20 years for a judgement.

Police can ask anything. Passport authorities issue passport with just PAN and Aadhar details but do remember none of those two documents confirm your citizenship. Both can be legally procured by foreigners as well.
