Legally you can keep it then.
Just keep your transfer documents Crystal clear and consult lawyer to recheck documents once.
In my state there are multiple things we have to do for transfer, like registration then city surveys registration (property card), if farm talathi level things. So get it done as per requirements in ur state.

BTW did your father got property after partition deed with his siblings ?
If so it lost the ancestral status due to partition. Property is considered ancestral if it remained undivided for 4 generations is ancestral property.

Would suggest to sell it off and avoid all sort of legal issues.

Then there is possibility that she can claim property.

But considering complexity of adoption it’s better to consult actual lawyer, I think law is not there to handle this scenario. They may have to check past judgments to decide.

                  Sorry for your sister.

                  >my sister is alive she told us she didn’t like the way her husband family taking care of baby>

Sorry to say but every Postpartum mother say like this that in-laws doesn’t care for her child, in most cases issue is mother care for child too too much and if in-laws say something regarding it she think they don’t care. I am saying it from my experience.

Regarding case 1st discuss it with her father and based on this saying take action.

                        Here is legal advise

We had same issue but with whole layout was encroached we had 1 plot there.
                        1) file civil suit for which you need to pay fees in proportionate to land value. I think it’s 2 %.
2)Case will take years as you will not on whom u are filling it on, goons rent it out to poor and they keep on changing
3)also you will have to fill it on multiple people so lot of people will get involved which will increase dates so minimum 10 years in session court after 1 date.

                        Now what we had done.
Involved politicians(CM), they want cut in it, declared PM awas yojana there. Tried to manage goon to allow awas Yojana.
Goon got greedy and rejected it.
Based on documents we had collected till date has gone to HIgh court to just ask government what has happened to Awas Yojana issue. They didn’t had any thing to update court so acted on slum before next date. Done and dusted 1000 families on road that day, feel bad but it was for parents retirement as non pensioner.

Mind you had politician we were able to involved was highest we anyone can go. He also can’t do legally anything just can speed up a things.

So do you want government should give passport to anyone who ask and unable to show that there parent where from India.
Land record documents work in most cases, regarding bribe it’s on you if you want to go with formal way(slow) or bribe way. In my native my parents didn’t have pay any bribe for my parents birth certificate.

Please tell me how government should verify your side of story and not consider you illegal?

Document is only way they can do it, considering your parents does have any documents it indicates they are possible illegal immigrant.

Government is doing there job burden of proof lies on you.
