ADVOCATE HERE. I believe your concerns are for A. Possibly a second hand product delivered. B. Delayed recovery of product. C. Delayed refund. D. Denial of compensation.

In my fair opinion, there are better things to do in life, just keep this aside and move on. HOWEVER, if you desire to know legal aspects, well, delivery of second hand product is indeed a cause of concern, you can file consumer case for it. All others are not exactly grievances in law, they are part and parcel of supply chain. Coming to compensation, no seller/reseller offers compensation unless you file consumer complaint.

Lastly, if you intend to pursue this, I would recommend that you reach out to a brother-like advocate of yours, get guidance, and handle the matter by yourself, because any regular advocate would charge well above 2K. My best wishes.

ADVOCATE HERE. Of course there is a case. Insulting modesty of a woman and sexual harassment, these are two different offences, and FIR can be lodged for the same. Actual concern would be: Do you want him to be punished subsequently or just momentarily? Answer to this would be dependent on whatever you have as evidence/witnesses. My best wishes.

ADVOCATE HERE. While you can always go to other NBFCs and Banks, if you feel insulted by this refusal, you can always take this before Banking Ombudsman (upon compliance of minimum requirements). Its fast, easy, and most of the times, consumers get favourable decisions. You would require someone draft the complaint for you, but not to represent you. Act accordingly. My best wishes.

100%. For EOW, you are basically the media of scam right now. They presume YOUR NUMBER to be the number of the accused/boss. Get their facts corrected before they come to arrest you.

ADVOCATE HERE. Mostly, the advice given is correct, however, after uploading, documents need to be submitted physically compulsorily. Notary stamp costs practically nothing in front of 16K, don’t worry. Gurugram Consumer Commission is adjacent to Gurugram District Court. Official address: Vikas Sadan, Shanti Nagar, Sector 11, Gurugram.

ADVOCATE HERE. Police often sends notice via whatsapp, not exactly ethical. HOWEVER, don’t mess with EOW. Send someone ON YOUR BEHALF or send a written letter to EOW clarifying whatsoever it is. Don’t go in person until so adviced by your advocate. My best wishes.

ADVOCATE HERE. Read your liability on the agreement you signed before renting the scooter. 99% chance is that you are liable as per the same. However, upon lodging of FIR (not complaint), you should get insurance company involved and let that sit for a while. 100% chance that company will refuse to pay, but hey, let’s hope for the best. It might all be a scam in fact, that owner himself got the scooty stolen to get money from you. Common in Goa.

This is indeed the correct protocol. However, it will be a civil suit for recovery of money, which takes considerable time to be decided.

ADVOCATE HERE. Yes, it is a genuine cause and you can file. Whether it is worth your time? You in person don’t have to appear in Court. Whether it is worth your money if you appoint an advocate? It depends on the compensation you will receive.

ADVOCATE HERE. Yes, debts can be recovered from legal hiers of the debtor. What can she do? For actual intimidation, extortion, and using criminal force to do things she doesn’t wish to, she can report them to police (because you mentioned private lenders and not banks/NBFCs). Further, you can report them to Min. of Finance for illegal financial activities.

NCH is merely an attempting body, it will only “request” the hotel to return, but you can surely try. NPCI does not entertain complaints.

ADVOCATE HERE. Online notary would naturally be a great convenience but is indeed difficult to be executed, i.e., presence of parties. I’ll take the liberty to extend it even more: Online attestation by gazetted officers, again a domain where there is 0 development. Consider these and try to work around them.

ADVOCATE HERE. INR 3500/- is relatively lower amount for anyone to approach court, though you may get appropriate relief along with costs there. Nonetheless, it will be easier for you to report the fraud to local cyber police station and seek reversal of UPI from your bank on basis of said complaint. Whether you will get it or not, is an answer no body can give.
