The return is the resolution. If they would refuse return then and only then can you go to consumer court. Not even civil court.

If you would’ve consumed these medications even then it would’ve been your fault for not checking condition of the product before consumption.

File a complaint with cyber cell?

Bhai ab toh Sarkar Phone call pe bolti hai ki sab scam hai, aap toh reddit pe bi ho toh digital literacy li toh kami nahi lag rhi. I really want to understand how did you thi k the company was making money? How are the “tasks” that you were doing adding value to anyone at all? How was the company going to pay you? Why is a large company paying arbitrary sums to arbitrary citizens for arbitrary work and there is no invoicing – no gst – no taxation – no involvement of aadhar/pan like a conventional job and you still went ahead with paying them?

It is illegal to do so. Sort of like it is illegal to prescribed a medicine if youre not a doctor.

There is regulation on pricing too – as in what cost you can charge is capped depening on monument and the govt decides that.

There is a union for Guides that will try and not let you practise if youre not a registered guide

FIR can’t be taken back by any party other than high court and Supreme Court.

You’ll have to spend time and money and get a lawyer to file an application for quashing FIR.

You will need a lawyer but the court empathizes with such situations.

I beat a guy half to death with stitches on his head, a dislocated jaw, a broken finger and rib for slapping my senior citizen father.

My father asked the guy to move his car from the middle of the road and did speak rudely but was not abusive, the driver of the vehicle was drunk and proceeded to get out of the car to slap my father.

I had to spend 2-ish days at a police station but nothing more. Did have to spend money with the cops and with the lawyer.

                      Breaking bonds has repercussions.

If the company can prove exoense done in training, or prove damage to reputation or loosing customers because of you breaking a bond – you are liable to pay the company in a court of law.

                            1. Can a private company legally enforce such a bond like this?
                            – yes. Bonds are enforceable as long as the company can prove that they did infact spend money on your trainings, OR they can prove that you leaving midway caused then losses in rupee values or reputation.

                            2. What steps should I immediately take to protect myself? – get a lawyer.

                            3. Is it necessary to hire a lawyer in Ahmedabad, or can I manage this remotely with a local lawyer from my city? – this can’t happen remotely. A lawyer has to physically turn up at courts. And you may be expected to turn up in the form of videocalls or physically present on some dates.

                            4. Can I defend myself on the basis that employment bonds are not enforceable if they are punitive? – punitive bonds are enforceable.

                            5. Has anyone else dealt with a similar situation?

Op will have to spend initially and if he wins in a court of law with proof that his friend through negligence or incompetence or ill-will broke his controller – at best op will get the repair costs minus depreciation.

Lawyer fee or court fee will likely not be provided to the op in such a case.

In theory any citizen can fight their own case but in practise mostly judges will not accept the petition to represent yourself.

If you can’t afford 5k then you can’t afford a lawyer nor the country legal system.

There is zero legal recourse here.
