VYes, there is. You are right about that.
But the bigger point was are there other cases (consumer related) which needs to be prioritised over a 1200 Rs matter? Of course there are.
Number of cases pending in consumer commission come down from 5.55 lakhs in December 2022 to 5.45 lakhs in September 2023.
I am not discouraging taking fraudsters to court but one needs to do certain cost benefit analysis and if someone is advising you to litigate this then you need a second opinion which itself will cost you more than 1200.

And for a claim of 1200 judge might just impose cost on you for wasting courts time.

VMy friend got most of her Money back so the cops said why are you still here and you should consider your self lucky.She even gave the cops data on where the scammer was located upto his village address. Yet no action was taken

Befriend him and make him return the money.
I know this sounds ludacrious but it has worked with a friend who got scammed in the wine shop scam on new years many moons back

VYes, the court will at max make the opposite party pay 1200 plus reasonable court fee.But what about the travel cost, the grease payment that needs to be made, cost of bunking office and the energy you spend on numerous court visit?

I recently claimed insurance which was part of the package..when Insurance asked for break up.
Hospital provided the same.
VDon’t worry.34k is too small an amount for them to actually litigate.
Reply to their letter and mention that you couldn’t serve the notice period due to your ill health which was caused due to the rotational shift.
Also, claim medical expenses and compensation from them.
This should shut them up.
