Burden of proof is on your company.

You are absolutely within your rights to ask for proof.

The background check – it really depends on the company e.g. some companies (usually foreign ones) are stringent about checking every detail about a prospective employee, so there’s that.

Honestly, the fact that they are sending emails instead of legal notices makes it feel like they are just trying to back out of paying you money (at least based on what you have posted). The way i see it, you should be sending them legal notice lol

        Lawyer.

Were you married here or in Australia? If it is over there, then you’ll have to get it annulled according to Australian laws.

She did not disclose her second marriage. So the marriage is voidable on grounds of fraud.

Mutual divorce is an option if the other party also wants a divorce. It is not enough that her parents are ready. Has she given any indication that she is also ready for mutual divorce?

Wrt her mental condition – is this clinically diagnosed? If yes, was it concealed from you?

It would be a one-time fee. No need for retainers. The amount will vary depending on where you live and the lawyer you choose

Yes formally email HR. Write in detail about what your manager told you, how the new team seemed unaware of your reassignment and whatever other details that are relevant. That way there is some record of this.

I could connect you with some ppl who’ve handled such cases, but I have to ask, how long have you actually waited? What is the time span? Companies can sometimes take time to do reassignment overhauls. Is it long enough that it is time for your salary and they are not paying your salary? This would bring some perspective on the issue.

What was the crime? What was the reason for which the family called the police to begin with?

For litigation, that’s quite good tbh. Litigation is famous for getting barely any pay in the beginning

The govt provides legal aid for free in every state. For you it’s Maharashtra State Legal Services Authority (MSLSA)

                          Lawyer.

File for the trademark. However, it seems that you have already earned a lot of business goodwill through your shop’s name & ppl recognize it. So you might qualify for well-known trademark. But this is general advice, you should seek proper advice from a lawyer specializing in IP laws.

Have you given CLAT for LLM? If you get good scores, many governmental orgs like BHEL can recruit you and they give a pretty decent package too I think.

For the bank, you’d need to crack the exam. You can also opt for SEBI law officer. Good places for steady income

Lawyer. Slap them with a legal notice. It’s a wedding sari, it cannot be replaced, even if you buy one exactly like it, it wouldn’t be the same thing. At least they should face the consequences.
