At the age of 24, your parents can kick you out. Either toe their line or move out.

Just because the agency was kosher, doesn’t clarify the adoption status. For eg, a child placed in foster care, will only result in the parents having a guardian status – which is not the same as being a parent legally.
So find out how the adoption was processed, registered or declared. Then how does that stand as per the then prevailing laws. Otherwise your case will fall flat.

My grandparents fostered 2 girls. They did not inherit anything, except whatever my grandparents settled on them.

Based on religion the applicable inheritance law will apply.

Your father’s adoption should have been done through the then applicable legal process. If the adoption was not documented legally – he will have no rights unless property has been willed to him.

Record her conversations and document them. Consult a lawyer to file a restraining order.

Have some good lawyers / tax consultants to check with. The normal understanding and the tax man’s understanding are two very different things.

If they have an HR team – then the advice will be to not to fire any person on maternity leave. However – you need to start looking out – as your job may be gone by the time you get back.

                    1. Send a legal notice. with about 15 days to respond

                    2. Connect with a lawyer, file a case and hope that you can get an eviction order.

When you say your tenant is not at home – I assume that no one is at home. You can consider the following

                    – changing the locks

                    – notifying the apartment association that your tenant is no longer your tenant and should not be allowed entry into the building

                    – asking the authorities to suspend your water and electric connection for 1 month

Call up the bank and ask them to reschedule the handover as you are out of town.

Tell her to take a break and gather herself. She will need to be strong and very calm.

It’s better if she deals with this herself – so that it remains a matter between them.
Give her your support but avoid intervening for now.

If her decision is to part ways then she will need the support for it.

If her decision is that the marriage must continue, you will have to act as though you know nothing.

I don’t work in the airline business. In any organisation’s disciplinary action has SOPs that HR will use. They either follow the law or know how to circumvent it, in either case in the company’s interest. Natural justice requires that they give you a hearing or have someone whom you can meet to discuss your case. This has to happen within a reasonable time frame say 30 to 90 days. While they can bar you from somethings and some places, they still have responsibilities wrt you, even if you are suspended.

In my world as well, there are faceless organisation’s to navigate and sometimes you have to get inventive to get a name to work with to get results.

When the organisation’s is faceless, you will need to figure out a face to deal with. Reaching out to that person and establishing the human link to get someone to talk to is important. You will need to tap your network of friends and colleagues for this.

Not sure how maintenance staff have an opinion over owners anywhere.

You need to ensure two things. One your landlord notifies security that new tenants will be coming to see the place. Two tell people to say they are coming to meet you. This will ensure less friction at security.

If your visitors are being stopped, notify the association, that if this continues, you will complain to the police.

If the friction continues, you are better off finding a different place to stay.

You need to know the levers to turn in your company. Reach out to your union. Next find someone senior enough to give you a hearing and help to get out of this mess. Also reach out with a formal complaint to HR that should revise their letter as currently even taking a trip home in your personal capacity will violate their guidance.

You can recieve the amount from your friend. Get your CA to draft a document for the transaction – indicating the reason and terms of transfer.

Think about the next steps more thoroughly. Her parents are probably deliberately ignoring things, because they don’t want things to south.

She will need to work out on her marriage.
