You have learnt a valuable lesson on friends, trust and money.

The bank is unlikely to accept that you were unaware of these transactions. The only way forward for you would be to pay the outstanding amount as soon as possible and put this behind you.

If your friend has bought anything, you can ask them to hand over those products to you. You maybe able to resell and recover some money. If she doesnt – well then you can file a complaint of theft of property bought with your money.

Call your bank and figure out how you can repay without the interest hitting you. You may also need to tap your father for an interest free loan to tide you over.

        1. Request politely
        2. Raise it with your association
        3. Call the police

As you will continue to live there please try to work out an amicable solution. What will help your case is if someone is getting disturbed – like an elderly person or a student preparing for exams. Find a reason which will result in empathy for you.

Legal action is unlikely to yield results in the short term. By the time you resolve it you may be considerably older and madder.

Strange equations with your parents. You can be held responsible if your parents are destitute. Otherwise start charting your career and reframing your relationship with your parents as an adult.

Go consult a lawyer. If there is any question – state that you just want to ensure that things are done properly. A court decree is needed for a divorce – even if it’s by mutual consent .

You may need to document your relationship with your father from a legal standpoint. You will need to establish that relationship was toxic and he failed in his paternal duties. Since he failed to contribute or make attempts to provide for you as a child and abandoned the family – you do not consider him a parent except in name. Since your father seems to like going to court (prioritizing getting a divorce late in life without working financially) , start doing the groundwork. The other angle you have is that – since he has paid no alimony to your mother, you have to sustain her and so cant afford the expenses of both parents.

Check out the rules of the scholarship.

If there are none, they cannot ask you for any repayment or charges.

Please decline. Its a residential property – use it for residential purposes. Ask him to rent somewhere else for his business and use that for registration.

If he uses your address for GST – you maybe liable for tax defaults.

OP – Your company is charging you for their problem. What if someone steals this at gunpoint. How is it your fault? Basically if your company reports the theft – they will have to report to their customers and this will trigger more expenses and client concerns in terms of security controls.

Ask to report a security incident at work and share the copy of the FIR.

Your company should have insurance for theft. Typically if assets are lost – you will have to pay for it. You can ask them to either to stretch the charges over a year as you currently earn very little. If you dont have money to live on – then why would you want to come back work.

If the marriage wasnt registered or documented in any manner – they can treat it as a live in & break up. If not a divorce would be best to ensure they dont have legal issues in future.

Ask your employer to either provide a salary slip or pay your gross compensation in full.

You potentially work with an employer with very poor compliance with Indian labor laws.

Focus on getting a good lawyer.

Also focus on the road ahead and less on the emotive issues – that is what does your sister want out of the whole exercise.

As your sister doesnt seem to have any kids – ask her to start focusing on getting employed. The maintenance issue should be the first thing the lawyer should close on an interim basis till the divorce case is decided.

Ask the platform to take it down – as it will create legal issues for you.

Avoid having any digital footprint of any kind in personal matters.
