April 30, 2025 at 2:58 amLawyers are supposed to keep clients informed and also return all documents to them.If the lawyer isn’t giving it, he probably never sent it and has been misguiding you.
If he isn’t giving the letters ask him – give me the courier speed post tracking numbers. If he refuses that too, then you’ll know he never sent it.
If he really starts messing with you and your case complaint to bar council of India

April 28, 2025 at 9:38 amI don’t know why this is on legal advice unless you are alleging there is medical malpractice.A lot of doctors can have different opinions when it comes to psychiatry. Medicines are also a hit and try to see what works. You need to consult someone good.

April 23, 2025 at 7:23 amSee you have to pay the challan because the penalty also includes imprisonment for 3 months. However clearly since the logic fails on your family tell your uncle that you will pay him back in instalments.April 23, 2025 at 4:59 am in reply to: Got a challan for outdated PUC of car, any way i can not pay it #9783SSalonipanther485

April 23, 2025 at 4:59 amWhen you got the car the PUC had already expired. So it’s your uncle’s headache.
Is the car in your name? The challan would be addressed to the owner. Just don’t pay it.April 16, 2025 at 12:30 am in reply to: Falsely Accused of Rape on Promise of Marriage — Need Legal Advice & Help #14154SSalonipanther485

April 16, 2025 at 12:30 amHere are the steps OP:Of course the point being that you think elopement just means to run away from gharwaale. Anyway:
1. Move your anticipatory bail application. Do NOT inform her of what steps you are taking. Do NOT go and disclose your plans to her family. Keep this under wraps. Unlike what has been suggested to you by someone else.
2. File a complaint for filing a false case against you. Also file a case for defamation against them. A very strongly worded legal notice to scare the shit out of them and ask for hefty fees in damages. This is after you have been granted a bail.
3. Keep all your chats, screenshots, call recordings safe. It’s another matter entirely to record without the other party’s consent. Create a backup copy as well.
4. As a government employee you can be terminated from your job if you are found guilty of rape and convicted. Unless you have a moral turpitude clause which would be enough for them to make a case against you for disciplinary action and termination.
5. Clearly you both are a bunch of horny teenagers who have no idea what you’re doing in life. But considering the age difference you are probably leading the little 18 year old into believing that one day you will have a change of heart and marry her. Especially because you both lovingly call each other husband and wife. You are leading her on. Both parties need to be on the same page if they are involved in a sexual relationship and love each other and yet don’t want to get married. Your girlfriend is NOT on the same page.

April 16, 2025 at 12:20 amIn fact OP you should NOT talk to the woman about your plans. In any event you ain’t dating to marry her so one day both of you were going to dump each other. You secretly move for anticipatory bail and try to file FIR against them for making a false case against you.

April 14, 2025 at 2:32 amOkay here goes:1. Avoid lending money in the first place. But if it is unavoidable then do the following.
2. Make a registered agreement. Pay the appropriate stamp duty. Do not get it written on plain paper which later your friend might refute as being a forged document.
3. Also speak to a CA as to what it might do for you in terms of your taxes, will you show it in your accounts as a loan or expense and more importantly when the money is eventually returned what kind of taxes you might be liable to pay.
4. For your own good, do not do this in black. Make it completely white money and transfer either by cheque or NEFT with the instructions as loan or whatever your CA advises you.
5. If he is a “good” friend he will understand the precautions you are taking and NOT get offended. But if your friend gets offended by the measures taken then you might as well back out from this. Will only cause trouble in the future.
6. Since it’s an interest free loan your friend can take the burden of the eventual taxes and expenses incurred such as registration fees etc.

April 13, 2025 at 5:07 amOP I understand your issue. See the thing is the Bar Council of India guidelines do not permit lawyers to advertise. Since it is considered to be a “noble” profession, we cannot make adds to promote our work / ourselves. So in order to select a good lawyer, you have to rely on word of mouth. Then you have google. A lot of judgements of the courts are now digitised and uploaded in the vastness of the internet. Let’s say someone says Ms. XYZ is a good lawyer for property disputes, you google that person. You’re are likely to come across their judgements / appearances / cases they argued online. Then you read that and make an informed decision. This will also help you assess their track record.
I hope this helps you.

April 13, 2025 at 3:54 amThe fees goes towards research reading the file etc. unlike a doctor, the lawyers have to prepare and spend time before they go to court. Things like spending time drafting the plaint etc. So what you essentially are paying is towards the labour costs. Doctors expense are on the day of the surgery the consumables and his fees for performing the surgery. So it’s not a fair comparison of the professions.
