Ask them for a copy of the bye laws and the provision under which the maximum fees can be granted.
Once you procure that, consult a lawyer.

It’s not a legal notice if it’s not coming from a lawyer (:

        You can do the following:
        1. Send your letter, tell them the issue, tell them if it’s not resolved you’ll seek legal recourse.
        2. Send a notice through a lawyer.
        3. If you want to skip 2. above then you can file a consumer complaint. You don’t require a lawyer to file a consumer complaint. You don’t even need a lawyer to argue it.

You registered your marriage. That’s sufficient grounds to hold that there is a valid marriage. You’ll have to get divorced legally and let the court decide the issue of alimony.
Suggest you start collecting proof of her income from now only. So that you can prove in court that she is working and self sufficient.
Even then you might have the issue of proving maintenance for your daughter with her.

If she isn’t denying and has given that in writing then send her a legal notice.

If this incident happened 10 years ago you’ll be barred under law to bring a suit now.

Unless you get her to say on text that she took and will return it now.

If you’re not a citizen of India, do the following:
                1. File a FIR
                2. Get a medical report for injuries
                3. Contact the embassy with whatever proof you have about being beaten up, attach the FIR and medical report.

                4. If police refuses the file the FIR then please contact the embassy and state that the police is refusing to file FIR.

                5. If they refuse to get a medical done then please go to a government hospital and get it done yourself.

Complain to the Bar Council. This is not legal.

Under law an advocate can hold on to papers if dues are not cleared. But since you only had an arrangement of 1 lakh lump sum he cannot legally hold on to papers.

                    Please make a complaint.

No. In fact asking for fees depending on outcome of the case itself is illegal. If the agreement was 1 lakh lump sum payment and you’ve done that. That’s about it. You don’t need to give anything else.

If he pesters you just tell him you will file a complaint with the Bar Council.

You need to do the following:
                        1. Send a legal notice
                        2. Initiate action in the consumer forum
                        3. Get a FIR registered for cheating

Last and most important- stop buying from flipkart. Have you seen the sheer number of cases where people are complaining about similar issues? Go to their sub and just see.
I don’t understand why people are still using their services when every single day there is some flipkart scam or the other. The company isn’t the same that it used to be and neither does it give the same level of service. Of course this is just my opinion and people may have a different opinion altogether.

Don’t take your passport. Only the court has the power to impound it.
                          Take a lawyer with you.

See you gave the OTP in good faith for the package. You haven’t received it. It’s fraud. In that moment when the delivery guy assured you that give me the otp on the phone I will give the package was a contract in itself which the guy isn’t willing to fulfill. Not just that he is willingly keeping a property which belongs to you. So cheating fraud and theft. Go ahead file that FIR. Just because you made a mistake doesn’t mean you don’t have a case considering the facts that you have narrated.

Yes. If you both do not want to go ahead with this you will have to file for divorce by mutual consent. Doesn’t matter if the religious ceremony did not happen. The fact that your marriage is registered is enough. Contact a lawyer and file for the proceedings.

Don’t respond to them. Don’t engage with them. Let them send the legal notice. Don’t respond to that either. For 68,000/- rupees no one will spend more on a lawyer to recover that from you. Empty threats.
Lawyer up only if they actually file the case.
