March 28, 2025 at 2:09 amTechnically, all assets would be jointly owned by the husband and wife (depends a lot on your personal law i.e. religion).
Better to consult a local lawyer and see your options.CCleversajal8453

March 27, 2025 at 6:04 pmA sale deed will mean paying of almost 6% of property value as taxes/charges/duty and showing an entry equal to the value of the sale.
In case of Hindu Succession, the widow and the children naturally inherit the property without paying any duty.CCleversajal8453

Generally, names are recorded in revenue records and no long process of required, you only have to obtain the pedigree certificate from your local office by filing an affidavit stating all legal heirs.
Make enquiries at 2-3 places before zeroing on.CCleversajal8453

March 24, 2025 at 11:33 amI’m just stating the practical reality.
It would be a huge precedent for a court to award any money to a husband, the traditional gender roles play a huge role.March 24, 2025 at 8:39 am in reply to: My parents booked a bus which met with tragic accident , can we file legal case for comphensation? #28620CCleversajal8453

March 24, 2025 at 3:57 amPresuming you are Hindus, there is a gender neutral provision under which husbands can seek maintenance. However the provision is seldom used, and courts rarely grant any to able-bodied men, so from what you have stated in the post it doesn’t seem like you will have to give him any money.
With respect to jewellery, anything you brought yourself or at the time of marriage is yours and yours only; the same goes for your savings out of your income.
Considering the fact that you are employed and earning a good salary, you may not get entitled to maintenance, bit your husband can be asked to pay a portion of three college fee for your children.
Would advise you to cool down a little, consider seperation and not rush into divorce – meet up with lawyers, weigh your options and then proceed systematically – rushing in rarely works and divorce becomes easier when there is a period of separation.March 23, 2025 at 2:27 pm in reply to: Im from india 17 f .
