April 7, 2025 at 12:55 pmConsult your lawyer first.
Generally, it is advisable to complain to the Principal District Judge/Chief Judicial Magistrate depending on the cadre of the judge.CCleversajal8453

April 6, 2025 at 5:41 pmThe trial follows a process, and the Accused can address the court either at the stage of evidence (if statement is recorded), but generally it can be done only at the stage of final hearing.
You cannot address the court otherwise, also if you have hired a lawyer then it is generally advised to let the lawyer present your case.CCleversajal8453

March 30, 2025 at 4:34 amIt isn’t possible for any lawyer to represent you in a case without your authorisation, moreso in a DV case where physical presence of parties is generally required.
Your new lawyer may not be able to appear for you, but he can seek copies of the case papers to get details of the lawyer claiming to represent you, letting you make a formal complaint against the same.
Any amounts already paid to the wife can be deducted from accounts claimed by her.
Hire a good Lawyer on the USA and in India, you will just have to endure this for now.CCleversajal8453

March 29, 2025 at 12:11 pmTechnically, there is no provision for you to disown your father (as I can gather from your post), but your uncle can opt to become his guardian cutting the mental illness and that he is the caretaker (he will require a no objection from your mother and possibly you).
That would give much more freedom to him to manage your father’s estate, and in turn free you up as well.March 28, 2025 at 1:33 pm in reply to: Husband wants to donate residence without wife’s concent. Is it possible? #26198CCleversajal8453

March 28, 2025 at 1:09 pmConsult a local lawyer, it would be better to file a report with your local police station that such incidents have happened due to which you are not able to proceed with the marriage, and state that you are being threatened with false cases.Even if the other side does not proceed, you would have the advantage of having filed first. A lawyer would be necessary to get your story straight and guide you through the process.
