I’d warn you against the 1000rs one. 1000 rs a lawyer would take for a consultation alone.

Legally you can always file an FIR or a police complaint, that so and so threats have been made in the name of suicide attempt.
However breaking an engagement is quite sensitive, if it can be handled personally and privately, that would be advised. If the condition seems out of hand you can go ahead with the complaint. No action per se will be taken but if she goes on to commit suicide the report will create a defence for you.

I like the last feature. That’s an important one. But i think lawyers are quite good at absorbing and memorizing details from a convo, that’s a big part of their job. Nevertheless the app sounds like a great idea indeed as long as it doesn’t encroach upon privacy.

It’s not seen as a big deal. Cause it really doesn’t harm anyone if you think about it. Practising as advocates would only make them better law professors.

Source: misogyny and the intention to spread it.

It’s the only needle in the haystack they found that lowkey supports/validates the already existing misogyny in the minds of the misogynists. It’s almost like they were all outrightly waiting for something like this.

All his posts need to be removed. Some are latent misogynistic rants hidden beneath normal posts expressing serious concern. He’s lowkey trying to incite people.

Migration certificates of all educational institutions you’ve studied in. Attendance certificate if you have done your college.

Legal notice can be sent in the mail too. However it’ll not be the best option as he would simply ignore it and later claim he never received or saw it. Legally it would be very hard and a long process to get your money back. Under civil law you can go for money recovery suit. (Most probably in small causes court ). The process would take time a lot of legal fees.

A better option would be under criminal law, if you can manage to file a complaint for cheating (proving that the friend never had any intention to return the money in the first place is important here), that would pressurise the friend more into giving the money back.

Irrelevant but a non-legal advice would be to name and shame him.

Not very sure about this but the nominee might be able to have access to the money but he cannot be the ultimate owner and thus the court would ultimately decide to distribute the funds according to the will. The Will will supercede as per the court orders.

It can work, but can be challenged by the legal heirs, then the court will decide on the basis of how genuine the will is.

Don’t fall for any false hopes the lawyer gives, he might be trying to mint money, be careful. A handwritten letter won’t stand a chance.
